One Another

Sermon Series Description

One Another is a series about what it means not merely to attend a church, but to belong to one. In a culture shaped by independence, consumerism, and private spirituality, the New Testament presents the Christian life as shared life under the lordship of Christ. Jesus does not save isolated individuals and leave them alone. He gathers a people to live together in humble service, intentional discipleship, mutual belonging, and cheerful generosity.

This series helps the church see that membership in Christ’s body is not a sentimental label or a loose association. It is a covenant reality created by the grace of God and expressed in concrete obedience. To belong to Christ is to belong to his people, and to belong to his people is to take up the responsibilities of love. Each sermon presses that truth from a different angle: we serve because Christ served, we make disciples because Christ reigns, we honor every member because one Spirit made us one body, and we give generously because God’s grace abounds to us.

As we walk through these passages, the church is confronted with a searching question: are we merely near the church, or are we truly living as Christ’s church? One Another calls us to reject isolated Christianity and embrace joyful, sacrificial, embodied life together under King Jesus.

Because Christ has joined us to himself, he calls us to give ourselves to one another.
