Consider Your Ways
Sermon Series Description
Consider Your Ways is a series about what happens when God's people get comfortable putting themselves first. In 520 BC, the returned exiles had every reason to rebuild the temple — and every excuse not to. Sixteen years passed. Life got busy. Private concerns crowded out covenant obligations. The prophet Haggai steps into that drift with one of Scripture's most searching commands: consider your ways. Not your circumstances. Not your neighbors. Your ways. These two weeks walk through one of the Bible's shortest books to find one of its most urgent invitations — repent of self-centered priorities, reorder your life around God's presence and honor, and trust that the God who calls you to build will not abandon the work he has started.
Because God calls his people to prioritize his presence and glory, we must repent of self-centered delay and trust that he will fill his house with a glory greater than we can imagine.
